Ongoing Contract
Description
Integrated marketing agency seeks a talented web developer for a six-month contract with a strong likelihood of renewal. We are looking for someone willing to go the extra mile to make sure that a design is implemented with precision and that the code is elegant. We are not looking for a know-it-all, just a committed developer who wants to do great work for great clients. If you are that person, we want to hear from you.
Requirements:
- Comfortable slicing layered Photoshop files
- Able to write semantic XHTML and clean CSS
- Have a good understanding of JavaScript and Ajax
- Working knowledge of PHP or Python / Django
- Able to set up databases and write SQL queries
- Not afraid to learn new technologies as needed
- Have an eye for detail and precision
Pluses:
- SilverStripe or Drupal coding experience
- Familiarity with HTML5 and CSS3
- ActionScript / Flash development experience
- Video conversion and display knowledge (FLV, MP4, etc.)
- Experience developing applications for social media platforms
- Familiarity with the Mercurial revision control system
- Objective-C / iOS development experience
Direct responsibilities:
- Develop and test new projects
- Maintain current code base and enhance existing projects
- Collaborate with our staff to set standards and best practices
